Elven Highborn
Recommended Heritage. Half Elf or Bugbear
You were born or adopted by High Elves and raised as one of their own. You were educated alongside other highborn and expected to keep up and make your family proud. You quickly learned that your differences were a taboo generally only acknowledged through euphemisms and insults from cruel children.
Despite the challenges growing up, you learned to wield blade and spell nearly as well as any high elf. You gain the high Elf’s Elven Weapon Training and the Eldritch Adept feat.
Elf Weapon Training. You have proficiency with a single one-handed sword (usually the saber or rapier). You can use this weapon as a spellcasting focus.
Feat: Eldritch Adept
Ability Score Increase. +1 to your Intelligence, Charisma, or Instinct
Benefit. You learn one spell from the eldritch spell list. You can cast it as a cantrip at will or as a 1st-level spell without expending a spell slot. Once you cast this spell without expending a spell slot, you cannot do so again until you complete a long rest.
